Diablo at Far Westerns – Weekend 1

Three of our Diablo Volleyball Club teams hit the courts at the NCVA Far Western National Qualifier in Reno, NV and they came ready to compete! With hundreds of teams in attendance and high-level play across every division, our athletes showed off all the hard work they’ve been putting in this season.

 

💚 Girls 16 Green – Another Top-10 Finish!

Girls 16 Green continued their strong season by finishing 9th out of 164 teams in the 16 American Division. This marks their second top ten finish at a major tournament this year. Starting from the 50th seed, the team fought hard to earn their spot in the Gold Bracket and finish with a 7-1 record. Their consistent performance is a reflection of hard work, great team chemistry, and a commitment to competing at the highest level!

 

🤍 Girls 16 White – Top 5 Finishers!

Girls 16 White started at the 15th seed and powered their way to a 5th-place finish in the 16 No Dinx Division with a 4-3 record in a field of 48 teams. Consistent play and strong teamwork kept them in the top tier all weekend long—and they had plenty of fun doing it!

 

🖤 Girls 17 Black – Climbing the Ranks!

Girls 17 Black played in the 17 American Division and was seeded 65th out of 87 teams. They fought through a tough schedule to finish at 49th with a 3-3 record. Nearly every match they played went to a third set, showing just how competitive and determined this group is. They battled hard from start to finish and proved they can hang with tough national competition!

 

💚 Girls 16 Emerald – Battling Every Match!
Girls 16 Emerald started and finished at the 130th seed out of 164 teams in the 16 American Division, ending with a 4-4 record. The team showed resilience and heart, grinding through every match and proving they can hang tough in one of the tournament’s largest divisions!

 

We’re so proud of all our Diablo athletes who stepped up this weekend and represented the club with heart, hustle, and good sportsmanship. Weekend 1 of Far Westerns is in the books, and we can’t wait to see what the next two weekends bring!
