I grew up in Lincoln, NE surrounded by fantastic opportunities to watch and participate in sports. I grew up watching and attending volleyball camps at the University of Nebraska (I'm sad I couldn't attend the game at Memorial Stadium this year, but it was amazing to see so many people that I know in attendance!). Having watched and learned from great athletes and coaches, fueled my passion to continue to learn and develop as a player. I started playing volleyball in 5th grade, and for the most part, haven't stopped since. I was a four-year letter winner on the Lincoln North Star Varsity volleyball team (2003-2006). I contributed as a setter, defensive specialist, and libero, and helped us go to state my sophomore through senior seasons. I carried the momentum from my school seasons into club play. In college, I was a part of the University of Tulsa's All Girl Cheerleading Squad (2007-2009). I also participated in a work-study job with our media relations department that allowed me to work on all of the sports in the office, and when I wasn't cheering, I was working the games. I used my experience playing volleyball to help the other student workers learn the game and understand how to document the statistics required.

This will be my first season coaching for Diablo. Previously I have coached co-ed teams ages 7-14 in Arizona from 2017-2021. I love seeing the progress of every player's skills from the beginning of the season til the end. I like to focus and build upon the fundamental skills of volleyball as well as preach effort, energy, and enthusiasm! I'm looking forward to this season, and getting back into coaching the sport that I love!
