Owen Karlenzig Commits to UC Santa Barbara

We are proud to announce that Owen Karlenzig from our Boys 18 VVV team has committed to playing as an Outside Hitter at UC Santa Barbara starting in the Fall. We are very proud of Owen and his efforts over the past few years!

Here are some highlights we want to share about Owen. Great job!

• Owen won Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) Player of the Year – 2015 for Boys Volleyball.
• Owen is the 2015 MVP of his Sir Francis Drake High School Varsity Volleyball Team (San Anselmo, CA) and the they won the Marin County Championships all four years Owen was on the Varsity team.
• Owen was the 2014 Marin Independent Journal Player of the Year and he was named 1st Team All-League for the Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) in 2014.
• Owen received the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma from the State of California and was awarded Exceptional Academic Achievement by Sir Francis Drake High School for Seniors with a GPA above 3.80.
• Owen is looking forward to continuing the Diablo tradition of excellence and good sportsmanship at the USAV Boys Junior Nationals.
